Hope Everyone is off to a great NEW YEAR. The beginning of the NEW YEAR has been a busy one for both myself and my family. Starting with celebrating 2013, than our daughter’s 3rd birthday, then off to travel to Anaheim, CA for Craft and Hobby show for 5 days, then I met my husband in Las Vegas for a trip and a conference. We had a blast. Now we are happy to be home.
I wanted to do layout that would highlight some of the major events in 2013. I found a sketch on Pinterest by Jana Eubanks. See Sketch below to check out my project there too. The paper collection I used was My Mind’s Eye – All Is Bright and embellishments.

Every year since my husband and I have been together, especially since he proposed on New Year’s, we take a photo of us and now of our family on the start of the New Year.
The first photo is of my family and I in black and white, a quick shot as the clock struck midnight. Yes, it is the one night we keep our little girl up late as it is our family tradition to celebrate the New Year together.

The next two photos are capturing my 10 day journey. First vacation I have had with my husband in two years. I first went to Anaheim, CA, then to Viva Las Vegas for a fun trip and conference with my husband. The conference was in the Venetian and it was absolutely beautiful in there with all the artwork.

We are finally back home with our little girl and there is no place like home. Happy to be back and happy to share my layout of the start of my New Year as it has been busy, off to
a great one happy to get the travel bug out of our system early. Looking forward to the next adventure.
I like the layering effect on the bottom with the paper, stickers, strip of silver tape and washi tape. I sewed all around the edge with straight stitch then zig zag for a fun continuation of the chevron look. Underneath the paper I added a strip of lace ribbon.
